Dear RJD,

Thank you for this spectacular field trip.  One of the things that I liked was when we tasted honey  It was kind of good.  My favorite part was when we learned what the bees do and about the different types of bees.  There is a queen bee, worker bees and drones.  What the drone bees do is mate with the queen and right after they die. There can only be one queen bee and if there’s two they have to fight to the death.  If bees weren’t alive, we wouldn’t have one third of the food we have now.

I hope the 5th graders next year can experience this field trip because it was awesome.

Sincerely,

Joseph

Dear RJD,

Thank you for this awesome field trip.  It was cool that the drones did not know how to feed themselves.  So the nurses would not feed them and the scouts would take them far away and drop them because they were lazy.  Also, I can’t believe that the queen can lay 2,000 eggs a day.  Also, the queen dies in four to five years.

I hope we get to visit again!

Sincerely,

MaKenzie
